Stormzy and Dua Lipa join epic line-up for Capital’s iconic Jingle Bell Ball-Lucy Norris-Entertainment – Metro

Rapper Stormzy and pop sensation Dua Lipa are the latest music royalty to secure a place on the Jingle Bell Ball’s roster.
Confirmed this morning on the radio station’s breakfast show, the inclusion of the pair in the line-up was revealed by presenting quartet Roman Kemp, Chris Stark, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay.
The December fixture will take place over the course of a weekend and will find its home at The O2.
A usual sell-out event, Stormzy spoke to Capital Breakfast and shared his excitement at the news: ‘I’m really excited. It’s gonna be a great show. The energy is second to none, everyone who comes, they come raring!’
For the British rap icon, the Christmas showcase will be one of his first live performances amid the release of his highly anticipated third studio album, This Is What I Mean.
Picking up at multiple award shows throughout the year, the Hide & Seek hitmaker will ring out 2022 on a jingle-fuelled high with a set that is sure to feature his latest hit, Mel Made Me Do It.

His return to the event sponsored by Barclaycard, is proceeded by an epic headline set in 2019 that left many coining the star’s performance as legendary.
Joining him, Dua Lipa was another name added to the line-up list earlier today.
The global megastar and three-time Grammy winner is no stranger to The O2’s stage or the Jingle Bell Ball where she has delighted crowds in previous years.
Echoing the feeling of fans at the announcement of such a star-studded stage, Roman said: ‘Wow, what a line-up!
‘The excitement levels here at Capital HQ are already through the roof. It’s beginning to look a lot like the best Christmas party, ever…’
Filling the iconic venue with music from December 10-11, the artists will be divided up between the evenings with Dua and Stormzy both performing on the second night.
Alongside them, ticketholders will hear from Aitch, Becky Hill, Tiësto, George Ezra, Joel Corry and MistaJam & Friends ft LF System, Eliza Rose & Belters Only.
Opening the festive bash for night one, the roster includes household names such as Coldplay, Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, Tom Grennan, KSI, Mimi Webb, Sigala and Nathan Dawe.
Tickets for the ball go on sale on Global Player, Wednesday 9th November at 9am.
