Janet Jackson rocked massive curls in an attempt to recreate her famous Control album cover that topped charts in the 80s.
The 56-year-old called on the help of designer Christian Siriano to replicate the look 36 years after she last wore it.
In the updated version, the music legend pulled her hair into a massive side ponytail, secured on her head by a black headband.
Sporting a shoulder-padded black jumpsuit, only minor details separated the outfit from the original in which she wore gloves and stood against a red backdrop.
Sharing the snaps to Instagram, the designer was in awe of the move and gushed about the experience in the caption: ‘When Janet calls and asks you to re-create her CONTROL album cover you do it!
‘Wow how do I get to create for this Icon! I love this woman so much!!!! #blessed [SIC].’

Letting her own followers in on the transformation, the singer posted a transition video to her Tik Tok where she can be seen morphing into the look she first appeared in when she was 20.
Keeping the caption simple with an emoji blowing a kiss, she tagged credits to the designer, her makeup and hair team as well as Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
The pair of hitmakers produced the album that added to the star’s record for the most consecutive Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits by a female artist.
Fans jumped to the comment section to praise the icon for bringing back the old ensemble.

The 2019 Hall of Famer adopted the legendary look for the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony over the weekend.
