Matt Hancock was immediately put through his paces as he entered the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle with a pretty grim Bushtucker trial.
The former Health Secretary will make his debut on the ITV reality series on Wednesday evening alongside comic Seann Walsh.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have wasted no time in introducing the two newbies to their first trial before they’re sent off to join their other campmates.
Beastly Burrows is not for the faint-hearted as a preview clip shows the pair trudging through a tunnel in the dark while covered in slurry and bugs.
It appears Mr Hancock, 44, takes charge of entering the tunnel first and is guided towards a star buried in the mud, but his face is suddenly pelted by slurry.
Proving to already be a team player, he’s heard calling out to Seann, 36, who is in clear distress behind him.
Seann appears to be struggling with the trial while the MP digs deep for stars.

Watching outside on a screen, presenter Declan can’t help but burst into laughter as the two contestants are informed they’ve used one minute, and Mr Hancock wonders whether to turn left or straight on down the tunnel.
The pressure of the trial seems to get a hold of the two celebs who then bicker over which direction to take.
‘Which way do you want me to go?’ Mr Hancock asks as a very stressed Sean fires back: ‘Which way do I want you to go? I’m not a Sat Nav, I don’t know.’

As the clip comes to a close, Mr Hancock appears to come across a star buried underneath feathers but viewers will have to wait until tonight to see how many they’ll bring back to the camp.
With Love Island star Olivia Attwood forced to quit the series after 24 hours in the jungle earlier this week, fans have anticipated Mr Hancock’s arrival.
The MP, a highly controversial figure, was forced to quit as Health Secretary earlier this year after he was caught breaking his own Covid rules in lockdown by kissing his married aide Gina Coladangelo, who is now his girlfriend.
It’s said Mr Hancock will be making £400,000 for his appearance – although it’s not quite as high as the reported £500k-800k his campmate Boy George is getting paid, allegedly making him the highest-paid star in I’m A Celeb history.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
