You can have Kratos switching between different armour styles in God Of War Ragnarök thanks to its transmogrification feature.

The God Of War series has always surprised fans with its attention to detail, and Ragnarök is no exception, as it has added one completely new feature: armour transmogrification.

A transmog system sounds complicated but the idea is that it allows you to change what a piece of armour looks like but keep the stats of the original item. So if there’s an outfit you think looks really cool but it’s stats are no good you can have your cake and eat it.

However, the option to edit the appearance of your armour won’t be available straight away and you’ll also need to have some specific resources at hand.

To use the armour transmog system you’ll need to have upgraded the piece you’re looking to edit all the way to Level 9, so you’ll have to get your hands a bit dirty.

You can start with waist armour and wrist armour, as they’re easier to upgrade, but you’ll need to be patient if you want to boost your chest armour. This one takes the longest to fully upgrade, as you’ll have to find rarer materials and resources such as Smouldering Embers.

Though let’s say you’ve picked up all the necessary materials, what do you do after?

Well, first you need to head to the nearest Dwarven Shop and spend your resources there.

Once your armour of choice reaches Level 9, go to Kratos’ menu to equip the gear with the stats you want.

Then you’ll also see the option ‘Edit Appearance’ which prompts you to press square to choose what design you want to equip to your armour.

If you don’t want the same design for your whole armour set, you can just upgrade the single piece you want to equip.

Kratos is the only character in the game whose combat abilities are affected by his armour’s stats, so you can change everyone else’s look to whatever you think suits them best.

Once you feel your stealth is at a good level, why not go on a treasure hunt and get your hands on some sweet loot?

If you need an extra boost to your health bar, you can also try finding any Nornir Chests hidden near your location, which will grant you extra health.
