Matt Hancock has been branded ‘out of touch with reality’ for not knowing the words to Sweet Caroline as the campmates sung it on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The former health secretary and comedian Seann Walsh joined the likes of Mike Tindall and Jill Scott yesterday in the jungle after Love Island’s Olivia Attwood made an early exit.

With his arrival being highly controversial, Mr Hancock was nominated for the first two bushtucker trials, and set several challenges with Walsh as the camp’s moles.

After recruiting Scarlette Douglas and Scott to their secret missions today, the four managed to score luxury items for the whole group.

For some, the luxuries came in the form of memories of home, like Charlene White’s emotional picture of her children, but for others, the luxuries were about creating memories in the camp.

Babatunde Aleshe was gifted a camera so he could make a photo album of their time in the jungle, while Scott was given the opportunity to reminisce on her roaring Euros success with three plays of Sweet Caroline.

Earlier this year, England celebrated winning their first major trophy since 1966 after beating Germany in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley.

Celebrations peaked when the Lioness’ belted out Sweet Caroline on the pitch following their epic win.

Almost recreating that scene tonight, the campmates all belted out the tune – but not Mr Hancock, who very clearly didn’t know the words.
