I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Boy George has revealed the inspiration behind his hair transplant.

The Culture Club star has been bonding with his fellow campmates over recent week, baring his soul to the likes of Sue Cleaver, Chris Moyles, Seann Walsh, and Charlene White.

Relaxing on Saturday afternoon, the Karma Chameleon singer was showered with compliments from England football star Jill Scott, specifically on his hair.

But, he had a secret to reveal to her, disclosing the reason for his luscious silver locks.

‘My hair is a transplant’, he revealed.

‘Is it? Oh my God!’, Jill exclaimed, with comedian Seann telling him it looks ‘amazing’.

‘Where from?’, Jill asked, to which George laughed: ‘From the transplant shop!’

‘Do you know what made me do it?’, the musician continued.

‘Wayne Rooney. I saw his hair and thought, I can actually get my hair done.’

Strictly Come Dancing snogger Seann was cracking up, and when asked by the eighties icon what was so funny, he added: ‘It’s like you’re rebuilding yourself.’

Wayne confirmed his hair transplant to his fans in 2013, writing on social media: ‘Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I’m delighted with the result… I had it done in Harley street hair clinic London. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me.’

As for I’m A Celeb, George recently proved himself to the public when he nailed his first Bushtucker trial, eating everything from fermented plums to vomit fruit in the disgusting eating challenge.

He took on the task with MP Matt Hancock, who has been voted for all the trials so far.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
