Olivia Attwood has finally spoken out about why her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was cut short.
Earlier this week, the Love Island was forced to leave the jungle after just 24 hours, and while she’s shut down certain rumours, she hadn’t yet addressed why she was no longer in the jungle.
But, after teasing that the ‘truth’ would come out, we finally know.
The 31-year-old was rushed to A&E by ITV staff after ‘routine blood tests’ showed her to be ‘dangerously anaemic’.
Not only that, but her sodium and potassium levels were ‘worryingly low.’
‘I was so scared, I was like “what the hell is wrong with me?”‘ she told The Daily Mail.
She added that despite her blood tests being ‘fine’ when she had them done in England, her results were ‘really, really low’.

‘I was confused and of course very, very worried,’ she added.
During the journey to the hospital, Olivia added that she was worried about being pregnant, or concerned that she had picked up a virus.
‘It was absolutely frightening,’ she added.
ITV bosses weren’t happy to let her back into the jungle after the health scare, despite the hospital giving her the all clear.

‘They feared my levels might drop and it could be detrimental to my health and wellbeing,’ Olivia added.
‘I was absolutely devastated. I’m not a crier but I started to cry, it was so emotional. I was heartbroken and gutted. I tried to keep my emotions in check and keep it in perspective, things could be so much worse.’
She also told the publication it was like a ‘punch to the gut’ knowing she was a favourite to win.’
Olivia, who left before Seann Walsh and Matt Hancock’s controversial arrival, said discussions haven’t been had about whether or not she will be receiving her full fee.

She also revealed her devasatation about losing out on her place on the show, detailing how much she ‘loved’ the trials.
Olivia’s interview clears up several rumours that have been flying around since her exit, with her spokesperson on social media releasing three statements after the documentary-maker deleted her social media apps since arriving back home.
On Friday the latest post read: ‘Thank you again for all the messages and love. Olivia will be back soon.’

A meme was also reshared to her account, in which a fan expressed disappointment that Olivia wouldn’t be around to put Matt Hancock through his paces.
‘The way we’ve been robbed of Olivia Attwood annihilating Matt Hancock in less than a day,’ it read.
On Thursday a statement confirmed that Olivia had not left ‘due to Covid reasons’, after an earlier statement said how ‘heartbroken’ she was to have to bow out.

‘She dreamed of doing I’m A Celebrity for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would),’ the first one said.
‘However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.’

It went on to say that people would ‘hear the truth from Olivia in due course’.
But it also teased that she would ‘be back on your screens in the New Year’, fuelling speculation that she’s in the running to be the next host of Big Brother.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
