Strictly Come Dancing hun Jayde Adams has revealed why she is rightly refusing to put a label on her sexuality.

The comedian competed on this year’s BBC One series with professional dancer Karen Hauer and was part of the two same-sex pairings on the show, alongside BBC Radio 2’s Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice.

Jayde sadly became the fourth celebrity to be eliminated by the judges last month after finding herself in the bottom two with Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.

Following her exit, Jayde has defiantly spoken out about her sexuality, saying: ‘I don’t really like labelling myself. I think once you’re in a box, it’s very hard to get yourself out of that.

‘Harry Styles can be ambiguous about sexuality, so why can’t I? Who knows who I’ll end up with? I’ve been in all heterosexual relationships in my life, but as a lot of women are discovering now, perhaps there’s more to life than men…’

The Alma’s Not Normal star added that she has no interest in the dating game right now.

‘I’m fine,’ she continued to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine. ‘I bought a house by myself. My neighbour said to me: “Oh, it’s great what you and your parents have been able to achieve”.

‘I said, “Not my parents.” And she said, “Oh, you and your husband,” and I said, “‘No, just me. I made this house happen.” She was really startled. But I’ve earned it and I’m proud of it.’

She continued: ‘My career is going well; I’ve got a house and I’ve got the most incredibly interesting friends. I’m lucky. And I have so much sex with incredibly attractive people. And that’s because I’m incredibly attractive.’

Throughout her time on Strictly, Jayde fiercely clapped back at trolls who made ‘silly’ remarks about her body in brilliant and empowering messages.

Talking to Rylan Clark on the spin-off show It Takes Two, she discussed the messages she had received on social media.

‘The reason I tackle it the way I do is because for every horrible comment there’s a whole bunch of them that are lovely,’ she told the programme.

‘I just hope with my resilience I can show that sticks and stones may break our bones but names will never hurt us.

‘I really hope that’s something that I’ve left as a legacy…because, I will say, women specifically on this show get it in the neck (on social media).

‘Whether it’s me, whether it’s Karen, whether it’s Shirley (Ballas), the women get it worse than the men.’
