Blur are set to reunite for an epic show at Wembley Arena next year, making it their first headline gig in eight years.

Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree will once again come together as Blur on July 8, 2023, to perform their iconic hits.

Frontman Damon said: ‘We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again.’

Graham added: ‘I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs… blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces…’

‘There’s always something really special when the four of us get in a room. It’s nice to think that on 8th July that room will be Wembley Stadium,’ Alex went on to say.

Dave added: ‘After the chaos of the last few years, it’s great to get back out to play some songs together on a summer’s day in London. Hope to see you there.’

They’ll be surported by the likes of Slowthai, Self Esteem, and Jockstrap for the epic gig.

Tickets will go on sale on November 18 at 10am.

Blur rose to fame in the 1990s, with their last album being released in 2015.

While the band have largely been on hiatus since the end of their The Magic Whip tour in 2015, Damon has kept busy, joining Billie Eilish on stage at Coachella earlier this year.

During her set at the Californian festival, Billie welcomed Damon on stage for a rendition of the song Getting Older, before they launched into a version of Feel Good Inc by Damon’s other band, Gorillaz.

Meanwhile, he also caused a stir this year by claiming Taylor Swift ‘doesn’t write her own songs’ – an inaccurate statement that Taylor hit back at.

He later apologised, claiming his words had been ‘reduced to clickbait’.
