Cruz Beckham has been working with Eurovision star Sam Ryder’s producer, it’s been reported.

The 17-year-old aspiring singer, who is the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, was apparently ‘blown away’ by the Space Man singer’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year, and so approached pop guru Max Wolfgang about the possibility of working together.

Max co-wrote the track with Sam and Amy Wadge, which propelled Sam all the way to second place at the international singing competition as well as number two on the UK charts earlier this year.

When Max, who has also written for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Little Mix and Rudimental, heard what the teenager had to offer, it’s said he was ‘very excited’ to work with him.

A source commented: ‘Cruz was blown away by Sam’s performance at Eurovision and felt Max’s style of writing would work with the vibe he’s going for and asked if he could arrange a session.’

‘Max heard some of the demos Cruz has been working on and was very excited to be involved. He was surprised by his musical talent,’ they added to The Sun on Sunday’s Bizarre column.

The news comes a few months after Cruz was reported to have signed up with Tap Music, a management company which also counts the likes of Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa and Leigh-Anne Pinnock as clients.

An insider previously said that everyone had been ‘really impressed with what they have heard so far’ and that Cruz was ‘working hard to develop his songs’.

‘Everything is falling into place with his career but he isn’t in a rush to put music out yet,’ they added to The Sun.

In February, Cruz – who made a bid for chart stardom with festive single If Every Day Was Christmas in 2016 when he was just 11 years old – revealed he had been working with producer Poo Bear, who has previously penned a string of tracks for Justin Bieber.

Cruz told i-D Magazine: ‘We’ve just been in the studio a few times and made some songs together.’

The youngster said he had been writing about ‘personal experiences, real experiences’.

As well as singing, Cruz has taught himself the guitar, piano, and drums and is open to learning more in a bid to strengthen his ambitions.

He added: ‘I even learnt how to play the mandolin for a song I wrote. I don’t think you ever stop learning, but I’m taking my time seeing what happens.’
