I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Chris Moyles confided in Matt Hancock over his BBC Radio 1 exit and admitted that the broadcaster ‘handled it so badly.’
The TV personality had been presenting the popular station since 2004, however, in 2012, Nick Grimshaw replaced the star after he confirmed his departure.
In 2011, a year earlier, the 48-year-old reportedly signed a contract that would have kept him with the station until 2014, but sensationally quit live on air.
During Monday’s installment, Chris addressed his exit from the beloved station with politician Hancock.
‘I knew that Radio 1, it’s a conveyor belt. And you might be there for a year, or you might be there for 15 years, but you’re going to fall off the end at some point,’ he began.
When asked how he felt about the move, he added: ‘I was a bit cross after I left… They handled it so badly, so badly.’

He continued: ‘I went in with my agent, we sit down and he says “look this isn’t very easy, I think it’s time we wrap the show up, we’re going to announce on the news that Nick Grimshaw is taking over.
‘And my agent was like “that’s out of order.”‘
‘I said to the boss, you can’t do that, after 15 years you can’t do that, and we need to work out what’s happening. They announced it that Nick was taking over, but they gave us three months to say goodbye.
He continued: ‘I was just like, “OK, alright.”‘

‘But they gave us three months to say goodbye, which was great. So I said, “you know, thanks for everything, cheers.”‘
In the Bush Telegraph, Moyles added: “When it did finish, to do the musical, to do my own tour, and then meet my future girlfriend – then my life changed entirely. So, no regrets, all happy, it’s been a good journey so far.”
