Scarlett Bordeaux has jokingly slated a fan who threw a drink at her during a live WWE event over the weekend.
Some fans were reportedly kicked out of the untelevised show in Peoria, Illinois after an incident during a match between Scarlett’s real life husband Karrion Kross and his on-screen rival Drew McIntyre.
Partway through the bout, it’s said a fan threw a drink at the performer, with PWInsider reporting that police were called and security escorted a group of fans out of the arena.
Although WWE is yet to comment publicly, Scarlett herself has issued a lighthearted response on social media and used it to play up her role as an on-screen villain even as fans flooded the post with messages of support.
‘As a classy woman from Chicago, I’m not surprised that something like this would happen in Peoria,’ she teased.
‘PS. To the granny who threw the drink, your booze was as cheap as your hairdo.’
A fan who claimed to see the whole incident took to social media to provide their own account.
They wrote: ‘It was the lady with them that threw the drink and they took her away first and then came and got her family who looked embarrassed to be associated with her.’
Scarlett and Kross both made their returns over the summer, having been shockingly released in April 2021, and they have been a key fixture on SmackDown since their comeback.
The duo have been embroiled in an on-screen feud with McIntyre for a while now, with the latest stage in their rivalry coming as the Scottish Warrior defeated Kross in a Steel Cage Match at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
Scarlett tried to interfere on her man’s behalf but her ringside antics backfired as McIntyre was able to escape over the top of the cage to get his first premium live event win in quite some time.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
