Trinny Woodall has paid tribute to her late ex-husband following his death eight years ago.

Johnny Elichaoff was a drummer and wheeler dealer on Channel 4 show Four Rooms, and he married Trinny in 1999.

They divorced amicably in 2009, and share an 11-year-old daughter, Lyla, and Elichaoff had a son, Zak, from another relationship.

Elichaoff tragically died in 2014, falling to his death from a car park roof following a 20-ear battle with a painkiller addiction.

What Not to Wear star Trinny, 58, remained close with her ex-husband following their split, and has now said she still feels at a ‘loss’ without him.

Taking to Instagram, Trinny posted a sweet selfie of the couple with their young daughter, who is now 19-years-old.

‘Forever in our hearts. ❤️ 1959-2014’, she began in her caption.

‘There are many stages of grief and I think now after all the pain, anger and why, I just feel the tragic loss of a kind, funny, loyal man that I remember now from him at his best.’

Trinny proceeded to recommend some resources for anyone else who might have lost a loved one.

‘For anyone going through loss I couldn’t recommend more 2 books by @juliasamuelmbe – Grief Works and This too shall pass. She was the greatest help to us at a very challenging time’, she wrote.

Her comments section was flooded with messages of love and support, including from her co-star and long-time friend, Susannah Constantine.

‘Our beloved Too Bad. Still a part of our family. ❤️’, she wrote.

The Four Rooms antique dealer spoke openly about his addiction to prescription painkillers, which began after he broke his leg in a motorbike accident.

Speaking about her ex’s death, beauty brand owner Trinny discussed the aftermath on The Big Talk Show.

‘When I was 50, Lyla’s father died under tragic circumstances. I had stopped doing TV. I didn’t have an income. I was living off the residue of a couple of books,’ she shared.

Speaking about founding her brand, she admitted: ‘I remember I was at the funeral of my husband and afterwards I had people around to my house and I had some very good friends and they said, “Trinny, we know you want to start this idea but you need to be responsible for Lyla. Maybe you should get a job instead?”.

‘I said to them, “I can’t be 60 and wish I’d started it earlier.” So, they said, “Send us the business plan when you’re ready,” and they were one of the first investors.’
