Don’t expect Nickmercs to jump on Warzone 2 any time soon, as he says he’d rather stick with Apex Legends.

The new Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 has divided fans and streamers, as some can’t wait to start playing and others have condemned it, particularly its new DMZ mode.

FaZe Clan streamer Nickmercs seems to have made up his mind as well, in that Warzone 2 hasn’t won him over yet and will not tease him away from his go-to battle royale title, Apex Legends.

He even went as far as claiming that he won’t be diving into Warzone 2 any time soon, as he said the game ‘does not show promise.’

The streamer also said he’s concerned about the hacking and cheating situation, as it’s been a major problem in Warzone 1, leading many fans to quit the game.

‘I was in a weird place where I really wanted to continue competing, but I felt like I couldn’t because the game was just so bad. There were so many hackers,’ Nickmercs said.

In an attempt to rid the game of cheating and toxicity, Activision banned 500,000 Call Of Duty accounts, thanks to its Ricochet anti-cheat process – but some do feel they’ve been treated unfairly

Nickmercs was also amongst the streamers to playtest Warzone 2 in a special preview event, unlike Dr Disrespect who bashed the game even though he’d never played it.

While he praised features like the new Al Mazrah map, Nickmercs said he’s concerned about a few ‘really weird’ things ruining the game, such as the split circle mechanics.

Warzone 2’s safe zone will now split into multiple circles, which will get smaller and smaller in size until they re-combine into a single, final safe zone.

On the other hand, Apex Legends uses the traditional battle royale format, when there’s only one safe zone, which gets smaller and smaller with each round.

Season 15 of Apex Legends also kicked off recently, bringing a new character and the Broken Moon map, which Nickmercs has praised in the past.

‘I think that Apex has consistently shown that they’re constantly trying to go in a good direction, they’re making good changes,’ he said in another stream.

Warzone 2 isn’t short of new content either, as it boasts a suite of new features, but it seems that this hasn’t given Nickmercs enough incentive to make the switch.

However, he did leave space for his mind to be changed, if Call Of Duty starts to fit more into his competitive playstyle.
