Lorraine Kelly didn’t mince her words over Matt Hancock’s controversial I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! stint.

The former health secretary has been under immense fire since it was first reported he was due to appear on the show and has been ongoing since his late arrival alongside comedian Seann Walsh.

And he’s certainly felt the wrath of the public after being voted to do multiple Bushtucker trials splashed with slurry, coming face-to-face with spiders and forced to eat animal parts.

Several celebrities have weighed in over the this year’s surprise addition to the jungle from the likes of Piers Morgan and Denise Welch.

ITV presenter Lorraine recently expressed how ‘fed up’ she was seeing the politician dominating the hour-long programme, and now she hopes Hancock will be the first to get the boot.

When asked whether she could handle being in camp alongside the sitting MP during the annual ITV Palooza, she exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘I cannot think of anything worse genuinely.

‘Apart from anything else, he’s boring!

‘He’s just boring, he’s made it interesting in the sense that Ant and Dec are so funny at his expense, but I think we’ve all had enough and I’m glad he’s not doing anymore trials… right now anyways.’

She continued: ‘And I hope he’s the first one out, because then we get to see everyone else, so many characters in there.’

However, the beloved host wouldn’t mind having a sit-down with Hancock in the near future.

‘I would absolutely have him on again,’ she enthused.

‘I totally would. I think he would be great, I don’t know whether he would come on or not, but he’s got an invite if he wants to come on. I never say never to anybody.’

Addressing the cast of 2022, which features the likes of Mike Tindall, Scarlette Douglas and Sue Cleaver, she added: ‘Great characters in there.

‘Jill [Scott] I love Jill, Boy George, Chris Moyles. Amazing people in there, and I would really like Jill to win, she’s great, a team player, smashing women. I just lover her.’
