Denise Richards was shot at during a road rage incident in Los Angeles.

A representative for Richards confirmed to NBC News that no one was harmed.

The actress was on her way to a film and TV studio in a pickup truck on Monday with her husband Aaron Phypers when a passing motorist fired shots at them.

TMZ reports that Phypers was struggling to find the studio, and the driver behind them got impatient.

While Phypers let him pass, the other driver fired a shot at the Phypers’ side of the car before driving off.

Police were reportedly called after someone spotted gunshot damage on the Ford Shelby F-150 truck.

Richards has not shared any reference to the incident on social media.

She and Phypers have been married since 2018, and share their adopted 11-year-old daughter Eloise.

Previously, Richards was married to Charlie Sheen after the pair met on set in 2000. They tied the knot in 2002 but divorced in 2006.

She shares her children Sami, 18, and Lola, 17, with the actor.

Richards recently opened up on her divorce from Sheen, saying it was ‘way worse’ than it looked from the outside.

Speaking on the Divorced Not Dead podcast, she said she and Sheen may have looked ‘happy, but we weren’t, we were really, really bad.’

The trigger point that led her to decide she needed to divorce the Scary Movie actor came, she said, when she asked herself: ‘Would I want my daughters to be married to this man?

‘No offence to him but it’s true,’ she said, adding: ‘And I think he would take that, he would understand what I’m saying.

‘And then I was like “Well, why am I accepting this?”‘

The star went on to say that while they had lots of money and a beautiful home, ‘I would have lived in my car’ rather than stay in the ‘very toxic’ relationship.

‘The real thing was my kids – would I want this for them? Why am I accepting it for myself?’ she asked.

Richards added, however, that she ‘really does believe that he and I were brought together to have our daughters.’
