Matt Hancock’s girlfriend Gina Coladangelo has jetted out to Australia to support him during his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and will be set to reunite with him after he leaves the jungle.
The former health secretary joined the likes of the camp’s first ever royal Mike Tindall and Boy George as a latecomer with Seann Walsh after Love Island’s Olivia Attwood made an early exit.
During his time in the jungle, Hancock faced six bushtucker trials in a row, and has opened up about ‘looking for forgiveness’ after a grilling from his fellow campmates.
Hancock is the 12th celebrity to head into the jungle, after facing intense backlash from fans and celebs over his appearance on the reality show.
And now his girlfriend Coladangelo has been spotted at Heathrow Airport before her long flight to Brisbane.

An insider added to Mail Online: ‘She smiled when asked if she was looking forward to flying to Australia and seeing Matt again.’
They continued: ‘Walking through departures, she looked nothing but relaxed ahead of the long trip to Australia, where she will finally be reunited with Matt.’
This comes after Hancock revealed he’s been thinking about his girlfriend during terrifying trials.

In Monday night’s episode, the politician took on his sixth consecutive Bushtucker trial, facing snakes and critters in an underground pit.
After securing seven out of a possible 11 stars, Hancock revealed what he used to get himself through the challenge, saying: ‘It was definitely the calmest I’ve been in a trial.
‘I thought of my children, I thought of Gina, I thought of everybody I loved. I just tried to be calm.’

Hancock was England’s health secretary at the time leaked CCTV showed him kissing aide Coladangelo in breach of the social distancing guidelines he helped create.
Covid guidance against physical contact with people from other households was not lifted until 11 days later.
The adviser quit her post after being shown on surveillance camera footage in an intimate clinch with Mr Hancock on May 6 2021, with an image of the embrace published by The Sun last year.
Hancock also resigned after the revelations about his affair with Coladangelo, and was replaced by Sajid Javid.

On Thursday, Hancock said he ‘resigned’ because he ‘know how people felt’.
‘I know how people felt and that’s why I resigned. Because I know how people felt. So, good on you for saying that,’ he said.
He later told the campmates: ‘Do you know what it is actually, what I’m really looking for is a bit of forgiveness, that’s what I’m really looking for.’
‘We all make mistakes, I made a pretty big one,’ he added, before saying in the Bush Telegraph: ‘I wasn’t really expecting it, but it did get very emotional,’ after a grilling from the camp.

Despite plenty of people arguing that Hancock, who is still a sitting MP, should not appear on the reality show, executive producer Olly Nash said: ‘It’s always an individual’s choice to come into camp, isn’t it?
‘And at any point, any celebrity can say I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. So that’s the only thing really to add. I think.’
He added to The Mirror: ‘Nobody has to do the show in the same way and nobody has to stay in camp and nobody has to do a trial. So it’s up to any celebrity to make that choice.’

Hancock has insisted he will make a donation to charity following his appearance in the jungle, and that he’s reached an agreement with producers that he can be reached for urgent constituency matters.
However, many people aren’t happy, and Hancock had the Tory whip withdrawn before he entered the jungle.

At the time, chief whip Simon Hart MP said: ‘Following a conversation with Matt Hancock, I have considered the situation and believe this is a matter serious enough to warrant suspension of the whip with immediate effect.’
In Hancock’s constituency, Andy Drummond, deputy chairman (political) of West Suffolk Conservative Association, added: ‘I’m looking forward to him eating a kangaroo’s penis. Quote me. You can quote me that.’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
