All Elite Wrestling star Andrade El Idolo has been pulled from an RGR Lucha Libre show this weekend over health issues.

The former WWE star, who left the company in March 2021 before joining Tony Khan’s rival promotion AEW three months later, was meant to be appearing at the independent event in Cudahy, California on November 20.

In a video shared on the RGR Lucha Libre Facebook page, Andrade can be seen in a hospital bed as he insisted he would have loved to have joined the fans at the show.

‘Greetings to all my friends in Los Angeles! I would have loved to meet you all this Sunday, but I had an issue to attend. I will be giving more details about it at a later date,’ he said.

‘If it had been up to me, I would have loved to be there with you all. I hope to see you all again in Los Angeles and I apologise.’

Andrade didn’t give any further details about his health.

Meanwhile, there is plenty of speculation about his wife Charlotte Flair and when she’ll be back in WWE, having not been seen on screen since she took time off for their wedding in May.

Last month, Andrade addressed his relationship with Ric Flair’s daughter while speaking to Mas Lucha, and reflected on whether or not WWE boss Triple H has attempted to bring him back.

He said: ‘He [Triple H] gave me an opportunity and helped me a lot in NXT and I spoke to him when I requested my release. We are on good terms and he always mentioned that I can keep in contact with him.

‘I cannot say that I have contacted him recently, but it is difficult due to legalities. And if he wanted to speak to me, my wife works there, so he can always reach out to me from there too.

‘It is difficult at the same time because Ashley [Charlotte] has time off due to personal reasons and she will specify them in future interviews.

‘It was very heavy because she worked on Thursdays to work on Weekends while I travelled on Tuesdays and returned on Thursdays as soon as she was scheduled to leave. Right now we are good because I get to see her more, I hope she comes back soon.’

And more recently, Charlotte’s Hall of Famer dad Ric has offered his own update of sorts but admitted his daughter doesn’t tell him anything in case he spoiled any potential surprise.

‘To be very honest, I have no idea. She keeps everything to herself. I know she’s talking to the company, but I don’t know any more than that,’ he said on his To Be The Man podcast. ‘If I did, I couldn’t tell you anyway. She doesn’t trust me to tell me anything because I can’t keep my mouth shut.’
