Australian Lacey-Jade hit back at critics in an article for Mama Mia where she explained that she had done nothing wrong.
She said: “Not every person will follow your rules. Not every bride wears white, not every wedding includes a bride and not every wedding guest or dress code will fit your idea of what’s appropriate and that’s ok.”
The fashion-forward content creator explained that she was attending a queer wedding where the brides had decided to shun tradition.
One of the brides wore teal while the other went for a sequin red gown and the guests were invited to wear whatever they liked.

She said: “This is Queer Culture. The fashion on display, the vibe in the air, the photo booth pictures, they show what my community can be when we are allowed to truly be ourselves. And my outfit was not the most revealing of the evening.”
