I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! fans have accused Charlene White of breaking another rule, with several calling for there to be consequences after the breach.

When Matt Hancock was named the first camp leader of the 2022 series, he made Charlene his deputy, meaning that the pair not only had to dish out chores for the rest of their campmates, but were exempt from helping out at all.

However, that didn’t stop the Loose Women presenter from stepping in to assist in the kitchen on Thursday evening, having already refused to sleep in the RV with the former health secretary.

During dinner, Charlene showed Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner the best way to slice up the eel the group would be eating, before also informing A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas of the best way to chop up a cabbage.

Over in the Bush Telegraph, comedian Babatúndé Aléshé admitted that Charlene ‘may have lended a hand in the kitchen’, pointing out that she wasn’t supposed to as deputy.

Singer Boy George added that in his opinion, the cooking situation can bring out ‘a bit of a power struggle with some people in camp’.

Later on, Scarlette confided in Babatúndé over how frustrated she felt with Charlene’s instructions, as the comedian responded: ‘I saw the whole thing.’

People watching at home were also annoyed by the ITV newsreader’s assistance in the kitchen, given she’s not allowed to lend a hand and already has been sleeping in the camp when she should be hitting the hay in the RV.

‘There has to be some consequences for all this rule breaking from Charlene…’ one person tweeted, while another said: ‘Why does Charlene keep getting away with breaking the rules? They need to start being tougher on here.’

‘So are they gonna do anything about Charlene breaking the rules or…’ an incredulous viewer wrote, as someone else remarked: ‘Charlene breaking the rules yet again? Really?’

Earlier this week, Charlene found herself in hot water over her refusal to sleep in the RV, with co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly saying they were going to speak to producers of the show.

However, her Loose Women co-star Denise Welch strongly defended her on Twitter, writing: ‘Why should she share a room with Matt Hancock. Her aunt died without her whilst he broke his own rules!!’
