Boy George has let Matt Hancock know exactly how he feels about him on Friday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The Karma Chameleon singer has made no secret of the fact he’s not a fan of the former Health Secretary, in part due to his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and having to resign for breaking his own social distancing rules.

However, so far George has mostly made snide comments and rants to other campmates or the Bush Telegraph, rather than the MP’s face – until tonight.

Friday’s episode saw the musician rip straight into the Tory MP, after he walked into a conversation between George and Seann Walsh.

The Culture Club star had been telling Seann: ‘Can’t stand Matt. I have tried to like him and I’ve failed. I find him slimy, I find him slippery.’

George appeared to be upset about a ‘look’ Hancock had given him after he made a joke about chocolate, and continued: ‘I’ve tried to separate what I feel about him from who he is as a person, but I can’t.’

Hancock chose this moment to walk up to the pair, with George then telling him how he felt face-to-face that he ‘didn’t like the way you looked at me’ after he made a joke about chocolate.

The MP said it ‘wasn’t my intention’ to look strangely at the singer, but said ‘I’m really sorry about that.’

‘You do it a lot actually,’ George accused him, with Hancock again apologising and saying ‘I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.’

‘I just feel everyone’s trying to be too nice. It’s getting on my t*ts… I’ll be honest with you, I think your presence has made everyone very compliant,’ George ranted.

To which Hancock responded: ‘Compliant, it’s a funny word.’

George admitted he has ‘been hating on’ the Conservative MP, adding: ‘I sometimes feel like you don’t say what you mean and you’re not particularly direct.’

‘I’m just being me,’ Hancock pleaded, and as George replied ‘Okay, well I’m just being me,’ the MP said: ‘I know, I like it,’

The complete lack of any conflict from Hancock led to George continuing: ‘I’m trying to separate you as a human being and you as a politician and I’m struggling with it. We don’t share the same politics. I am struggling a little bit with you.

‘That’s not your problem, that’s my problem. I apologise because I was really sl**ging you off a minute ago.’

Hancock said he would ‘far rather you said it [to his face], and revealed ‘I’ve been saying how much I’ve enjoyed spending time with you.’

George praised himself for the interaction back in the Bush Telegraph, saying ‘It feels like a relief to me. I thought, I don’t want to come out of here and feel like I’ve been dishonest. I had to be truthful.’

He added: ‘He’s probably going to be quite upset and I was kicking off a bit and I just thought, you know what, just tell him to his face what you feel.’
