What time is Children In Need on tonight and what channel is it on?-Rebecca Sayce-Entertainment – Metro

Get ready to take part in the spot-tacular Children In Need as the annual fundraising appeal returns.

Viewers of this year’s live show can look forward to a night ‘jam-packed with exclusive sketches, exciting performances, music, dance, and a few BIG surprises!’ according to the BBC.

This year’s campaign is raising funds to help tackle the effects of the cost of living crisis on children and young people – so dig deep if you can.

But what time can you tune in and where can you watch this year’s show? Here’s what you need to know.

What time is Children In Need on tonight?

This year’s Children In Need will begin at its usual time of 7pm live on BBC One.

The show has a running time of three hours and will end at 10pm.

If you can’t tune in live don’t worry, the live TV Appeal will be available on BBC iPlayer.

Who is presenting?

Viewers will be treated to an all-star line-up of hosts for this year’s charity appeal.

Former footballer Alex Scott and Paralympian Ade Adepitan will be on hosting duties alongside comedians Jason Manford, Mel Giedroyc, and Chris Ramsey.

A number of other celebrities will be taking part in the live show throughout the night, including Bradley Walsh hosting a version of Blankety Blank, with Strictly Come Dancing stars Maisie Smith and John Whaite.

Comedian Romesh Ranganathan will also host a special edition of The Weakest Link, while The Repair Shop team will complete a special restoration.

Joe Wicks will be walking for 10 hours during the telethon, and Graham Norton will be hosting a Red Chair special with a line-up of celebrity guests.

Who is performing?

As well as comedy specials, Children In Need is well known for its live performances.

This year will be no exception, with stars such as Lewis Capaldi and Diversity set to take to the stage.

The BBC Children In Need Choir will also perform a special rendition of Keane’s hit single Somewhere Only We Know.

Junior Eurovision will also showcase the song they’re competing with when representing the UK live for the first time.

How much money was raised in 2021?

Each year the campaign raises an incredible amount, with the final total at the end of the 2021 programme reaching over £39million.

It beat the 2020 total with topped just over £37million.

If you want to donate some cash to Children in Need, there are loads of ways to go about it.

You can easily donate online via the Children In Need website.

To give via the telephone, call 0345 7 33 22 33 in England, or 0345 607 0011 in Wales.

By text, message 70701 and type out the exact amount you’d like to donate in capitals.

You can also donate at banks, building societies, and post offices.

HSBC will accept donations all year round and most establishments will accept the money you have raised for BBC Children in Need for a month or two after the Appeal.

You can donate by post, too. Mail cheques (not cash) to BBC Children in Need Appeal, PO Box 648, Salford, M5 0LB.

Or submit any money raised in person via a special Children in Need Appeal slip at your bank branch, at the post office or via NatWest, Ulster Bank and RBS cash machines.

Finally, you can also donate loose change via Coinstar machines from November 3 to December 15.

Children In Need 2022 airs at 7pm tonight on BBC One.
