Don’t bother asking Prince William who he wants to win I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! because he will not choose.

The Prince of Wales Prince William diplomatically refused to back Mike Tindall to win I’m A Celebrity, despite being close friends with Mike, who’s married to his cousin, Zara.

Now, there is a reason, as the Prince is also friendly with England Lioness Jill Scott, another firm favourite amongst viewers, so he opted not to choose sides when questioned recently.

During a visit to RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, Corporal Rachael Howes asked Prince William who he wanted to win the reality show.

He told MailOnline: ‘I asked him who he wanted to win, Lioness Jill Scott or his relative Mike Tindall.

She said that Prince William only smiled and replied: ‘That’s a tricky one.’

Meanwhile, Mike, 44, has been sharing some family secrets on the TV show, including how he once accidentally exposed his underwear to his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, after performing an ‘over-exaggerated’ dance move.

The former England rugby union star told how he had to swiftly walk away after his trousers ripped right in front of the Princess Royal to reveal his boxer shorts, which had the slogan, ‘Nibble my nuts’ on.

Upon seeing his pants with the message on, the 72-year-old princess
said: ‘I’d rather not.’

But despite Mike publicly recalling the moment he almost flashed Princess Anne his Crown Jewels, the Royal is thought to be loving watching him on TV.

While it was previously reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be ‘very upset’ about his actions on the reality show, a royal expert has now claimed Princess Anne, who is the younger sister of King Charles III, will be cheering him on.

Expert Jennie Bond said: ‘Princess Anne has more of a sense of humour than we recognise. She can be very stern, but she’s actually one of the most natural people within the family unit.’

Jennie added to OK! Magazine: ‘She will laugh, she will joke and I think she’d probably find his antics in the jungle quite funny. I don’t think she will be offended in the least about the underpants story.

‘She probably won’t watch every night but she’s very close to her children and I imagine she will want to know what’s going on so she can share the experience with Zara.’

It remains to be seen whether one of Prince William’s pals Mike or Jill will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle, but they’re certainly in with a chance after viewers have taken them to their hearts.

Sadly, it was Loose Women’s Charlene White who was first to be voted out of the show this year, after two weeks in the jungle and being labelled the camp ‘mum’ by her campmates.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
