Maisie Smith and Max George are so loved up that their 13-year age difference never crosses their minds.

The EastEnders actress, 21, and The Wanted member, 34, confirmed their romantic relationship earlier this year after meeting Strictly Come Dancing.

Maisie and Max grew closer while performing on the show’s tour and were at the centre of speculation, but now they’re certainly not shy about packing on the PDA and showcasing their romance to the world.

In their first joint interview as a couple, the stars addressed being in an age gap relationship, explaining how unbothered they are by the numbers.

‘People ask me, “Do you notice it?”, and I never have. We’re so like-minded. I’ve got friends in their 30s and 40s. You connect with who you connect with’, Maisie told Hello!.

Max added: ‘It never enters my mind. Maisie has already done so many things that I’m in awe of – I look up to her.’

The lovebirds have also taken their relationship to the next level already by moving in together.

Opening up about the couple’s future plans, Max said: ‘We live together now, but we’re constantly travelling around the country, with Maisie touring. We want to get a place together and have a base in London – and maybe somewhere in Manchester too.’

Maisie agreed, calling Max her ‘bestie’ and saying she can’t wait to ‘travel the world’ with him.

The soap actress – who is currently performing as Fran in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical – was also keen to gush over Max’s romantic gestures.

‘When I get off a train, Max will be standing on the platform with a bouquet of flowers and I feel like I’m in a movie. It’s every girl’s dream and I’ve found it in Max,’ she told the outlet.

The pop star added that becoming Maisie’s boyfriend is the ‘best thing I’ve ever done’.

Max has been jumping to Maisie’s defence on numerous occasions recently, after she was slammed by Ulrika Jonsson for posting a TikTok video of herself crying alongside the caption ‘you didn’t deserve me at all’, sparking speculation her relationship with Max was on the rocks.

Former Gladiator presenter Ulrika then described the clip as ‘self-indulgent’, saying ‘it stinks of boy that cried wolf’.

‘She ensured it was a close-up, so we could actually see the very real tears rolling down her face. Very dramatic,’ she added.

But, Max was having none of it as, after hearing about the scathing attack, he took a swipe back, sharing a cheeky selfie to his Instagram Story, in which he posed in a lift and flashed his middle finger.
