The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Nicole and her husband Joe Sealey have been targeted in a terrifying home invasion where thieves made off with thousands of pounds worth of belongings, including her wedding ring.

The daughter-in-law of the late Manchester United goalkeeper Les Sealey, Nicole and her former footballer husband Joe Sealey own several businesses, including a railway recruitment company.

It was in 2020 that she joined the hugely popular franchise, but this week the couple found themselves targeted by thieves at their home in Wilmslow.

Their son and niece were also there at the time.

Detailing just what unfolded, Nicole told The Sun they were left fearing for their lives during the incident.

Around 8.15pm on Thursday night, masked intruders entered the property while Nicole was downstairs alone.

Explaining that the couple had been unwell and were going to bed earlier than usual, Nicole said she went downstairs to check everything had been turned off.

‘I stepped back to blow out a candle when all of a sudden it sounded like a bomb had gone off in the house,’ she said.

To break in, the thieves ‘threw a concrete thing’ through glass.

‘I’m incredibly lucky that they didn’t break in 10 seconds before, if they did, I don’t think I would still be here,’ she said.

‘They then came into the room I was in, they had crowbars and they chased me. There was obviously confrontation. It’s just very lucky that none of us were hurt.’

While Nicole said she was thankful that they were all safe, three Rolex watches and her engagement and wedding rings were stolen.

The three watches that were taken were a Rolex Daytona, a Rolex Presidential and a Rolex Sky-Dweller, some of which can sell for around £600,000.

While their house frequently appears on screen, Nicole said they were always careful to make sure they didn’t have cash on their property.

She added that while things can be replaced, the items still held significant sentimental value.

‘All I can think about is if they had broken into an older person’s home they could have given them a heart attack because the sound of them breaking in was so loud,’ she said.

The Sun reported that the local police are looking for the suspect, with a spokesperson for Macclesfield CID telling the publication what unfolded was a ‘terrifying incident for all those involved’.
