Dancing With The Stars fans ‘crying’ as Selma Blair makes emotional return for grand finale: ‘A warrior’-Sabrina Barr-Entertainment – Metro

Dancing With The Stars 2022 ended with a bang on Disney Plus, with TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and her professional partner Mark Ballas (son of Strictly judge Shirley Ballas) soaring to victory.
However, one of the undisputed highlights of the grand finale was the emotional return of Selma Blair and her partner Sasha Farber, with the couple leaving viewers teary-eyed with their stunning performance.
Earlier on in the series, the Cruel Intentions star was forced to drop out of the running on account of her health, having opened up about her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018.
For the final episode of the season, Selma took to the dancefloor barefoot, whirling around in a stunning blue gown as she and Sasha performed to Jordin Sparks’ No Air.
Several fans remarked that the routine proved that the actress could have been a contender for the Mirrorball Trophy had she been able to remain in the competition.
‘No matter the outcome tonight, I hope everyone knows that Selma Blair is the real winner of #DWTS. That’s a fact,’ one person said before the result was announced.

‘Selma dances with so much grace and elegance. I have no doubt she would be participating in this finale had her health permitted,’ someone else said.
Another person described the performance as ‘absolutely magic’, while someone else wrote: ‘Anyone else crying over @SelmaBlair’s contemporary? Just me?’
One individual described Selma as ‘such a freaking warrior and a beautiful dancer’, adding: ‘I already knew I was gonna get teary-eyed when she came out’.
‘Can someone please hand the Mirrorball Trophy to Selma Blair already? That was absolutely lovely. I’m not crying, you’re crying,’ an admirer stated, with another writing: ‘If you didn’t cry during @SelmaBlair’s dance to @JordinSparks singing “No Air,” I’m gonna assume you have no heart.’
The performance was also described as ‘the most memorable moment’ of the finale, as a supporter cheered Selma on by tweeting: ‘Bravo our Queen!’
Ahead of the finale, the MS Association of America shared a message of support for Selma, writing in a statement: ‘Tonight, we support @selmablair as she makes an encore appearance on the season finale of Dancing with the Stars!
‘Selma has been inspirational on this season of #DWTS, shining a light on her journey with multiple sclerosis while also performing incredible routines with her partner @sashafarber1.
‘Selma has also been nominated for the People’s Choice Award Competition Contestant of 2022, and we wish her the best in her journey to come!’
