The finale of Andor, the Star Wars show that has been taking fans by storm on Disney Plus, is finally hours away from being released.

Set five years before the events of the 2016 film Rogue One, the series has seen Diego Luna reprise his role as the savvy Cassian Andor, a future key player in the Rebellion.

However, at the beginning of his origin story, Cassian doesn’t feel as strong an allegiance to the Rebellion as others around him, despite the tight grip that the domineering Empire has over all of their lives.

So what time is the season finale dropping on the Disney streaming platform, as viewers continue to hail what they describe as one of the best productions ever released in the Star Wars franchise.

Here’s what you need to know.

What time will the Andor season finale air?

The season finale of Andor will be available to watch in the UK on Disney Plus from 8am GMT.

Over in the US, audiences will be able to watch at the same time on the streaming site, with the final instalment coming out at midnight PT (Pacific Time) and 3am ET (Eastern Time).

So if you’re in the UK and won’t have time to watch first thing in the morning, you’d better avoid social media to the best of your ability unless you want to accidentally cast your eyes on spoilers.

Will there be a season 2 of Andor?

Fortunately for fans of Andor, the foreseeable future of the series has already been secured.

However, we might have a little bit of a wait to go until a second season is released.

It has been confirmed that season two of Andor will follow the first, with filming having only just begun.

While speaking to TheWrap, showrunner Tony Gilroy insinuated that the second batch of episodes might not end up premiering until 2024.

However, with The Mandalorian season three, Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew all due to be released next year, 2023 certainly won’t be lacking in Star Wars content.

Andor will conclude with season two, which will then lead directly into the events of Rogue One.

In August, Tony confirmed that episode 24 (the season two finale) will ‘walk the audience directly into the first scenes of Rogue One’.

Tony wrote the screenplay for the anthology film alongside Chris Weitz.

Andor is available to watch on Disney Plus.
