Boy George has taken a swipe at Lorraine Kelly after comments she made during his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The pop icon was the fourth to leave the jungle, after Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas and Sue Cleaver, leaving the likes of Mike Tindall, Jill Scott and Matt Hancock still competing to be crowned jungle King or Queen.

Since leaving the jungle, George has been soaking up on home comforts, from pizza, hot showers, football, and making the most of his return to social media.

Commenting on Twitter to one of Lorraine’s clips, in which the ITV host laughed about George’s ‘tantrums’ and discussed how he reportedly ‘demanded golf buggies’, the Culture Club singer wrote: ‘Yes my darling Lorraine I bet you walk everywhere and do your own make-up? Lol!’

In the clip, Lorraine said: ‘He did have a wee bit of a – not a tantrum – I don’t know what you call it,’ before then asking ‘Does he watch this show? You don’t get golf buggies George.’

Lorraine and her guest had been discussing rumours that George had requested a golf buggy to drive him around camp.

‘I think the thing with George is I don’t that many people tell him no, I’m very fond of him but I think there’s that as well,’ she said.

Elsewhere, addressing rumours that George ‘stole an apple and hid behind a tree’, Lorraine added: ‘For goodness sake there’s cameras everywhere? There’s no hiding place!’

George has also cleared up any issue of ‘bad blood’ between him and former health secretary Hancock, sharing a series of Tweets which hit back at accusations of ‘bullying’.

It was no secret that George struggled when Hancock arrived in the jungle as a latecomer alongside comedian Seann Walsh and he revealed he was close to quitting after his mum was hospitalised during the pandemic.

More recently, he confronted Hancock and admitted to him face-to-face that he was finding it difficult to separate him as a human being and a politician.

‘That’s not your problem, that’s my problem. I apologise because I was really sl**ging you off a minute ago,’ he said.

But it seems as though all is well between the pair.

Hitting back at a fan who claimed George ‘bullied’ Hancock, the singer replied: ‘I think @MattHancock will say otherwise and many will have Ostrich Egg on their faces.

‘I treated him with absolute respect. I said what I needed to say and I made some fun digs but there was zero awkwardness. He appreciated my directness.’

In another tweet, he said: ‘Not everything is broadcast! I said plenty but in the end I did not want to bully Matt. He will not complain about me because I behaved like an adult.

‘There is zero issue between us. That might disappoint some but I have no regrets about anything. I’m not five years old! :).’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
