David Walliams has been seen in public for the first time following his disrespectful comments on Britain’s Got Talent.
Currently embroiled in controversy, the BGT judge, 51, was recently forced to apologise after a leaked recording caught him calling an elderly performer on the talent show the C-word three times.
According to a transcript shared by the Guardian, the children’s author also said of a female hopeful: ‘She’s like the slightly boring girl you meet in the pub that thinks you want to f**k them but you don’t.’
His slurs were picked up by a microphone used to record chats between him and his fellow judges in January 2020.
David issued a statement and said he would ‘like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020’, adding: ‘These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.’
David’s future on the ITV talent show is now uncertain, with boss Simon Cowell refusing to confirm that he will still be a judge for the next series.

Showing his face for the first time since the recordings came to light, David kept it low-key and seemed to want to remain inconspicuous, which isn’t his typical style.
The Little Britain actor wore an all-black outfit as he walked his dog with a friend.
Despite the November cold, he kept his sunglasses on to hide his face and engaged in casual conversation with his pal while strolling with his hands in his pockets.

Following his derogatory comments about auditionees, reports started to swirl that the comedian had quit Britain’s Got Talent completely, before ITV told Metro.co.uk that the a decision is yet to be made.
‘It’s still very much up in the air at the moment on whether David is going to take part in next year’s show. No decision, though, has been made as yet,’ the insider said.
A spokesperson for BGT added that ‘the judging panel for Britain’s Got Talent 2023 will be announced in due course.’

David joined the talent show 10 years ago and has become a regular alongside Simon, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
Despite the backlash, co-star Amanda is firmly backing David to return, vocalising her support as she chatted to Good Morning Britain at the Variety Club Show Business Awards 2022.
