Childhoods have already been ruined with Winnie The Pooh’s horrifying transformation in Blood and Honey, a horror film adaptation following the residents of the Hundred Acre Wood years after Christopher Robin abandoned them.
Now, a terrifying Bambi slasher flick is reportedly on its way.
According to reports, the team behind Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey are now creating Bambi: The Reckoning.
While plot details haven’t yet been announced, production is set to begin early next year, and spoilers have already suggested the dark storyline will follow the beloved deer on a revenge hunt after the tragic death of his mother.
Speaking to Dread Central, Scott Jeffrey, who is said to be directing the film, revealed: ‘The film will be an incredibly dark retelling of the 1928 story we all know and love.
‘Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix’s The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine that lurks in the wilderness.

This comes after Rhys announced that he’s working on a dark version of Peter Pan, titled Neverland Nightmare.
