Ant McPartlin appeared to make a savage dig at Matt Hancock’s expense on last night’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, with one fan dubbing the moment an ‘epic burn’.
During Friday’s episode, the former health secretary joined forces with Mike Tindall for the Fallen Stars Bushtucker Trial, during which they were tasked with piecing broken stars back together.
They were able to win a certain amount of time to figure out the puzzle by answering trivia questions, with wrong answers putting them at risk of being dunked into a gruesome tank.
At one point, Ant asked Mike: ‘What is the name for a male rat?’
As Mike scoffed, Ant then turned to Hancock as he asked: ‘Do you happen to know this, Matt?’
‘Not sure,’ the politician replied, as Mike threw out a guess that the term for a male rat was a ‘stud’.

Unfortunately, he guessed wrong, with the correct answer being ‘buck’ – meaning that he was dunked into the dreaded tank below.
While Ant might have been posing an innocent question to Hancock when the rat question came up, some viewers interpreted the quip as a sly dig at the MP.
‘”What is the name for a male rat? Do you happen to know this Matt?” Epic burn from Ant,’ one person tweeted.
‘Matt in with the rats. Jokes write themselves,’ someone else remarked.
The official Twitter account also appeared to insinuate the double meaning of Ant’s statement, tweeting: ‘Absolute savagery from Ant,’ alongside a row of cry-laughing emojis.

Mike and Hancock are two of the remaining celebrities left in the competition, as part of the final four alongside former Lioness Jill Scott and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner.
Last night, Seann Walsh was voted out of the show, meaning that he’s just missed out on taking part in the Celebrity Cyclone.
A first look clip at the highly-anticipated Cyclone challenge has been released, showing the four celebrities dressed in spangly shorts and matching capes.
Ant and Declan Donnelly excitedly introduce them to the challenge, before they’re blasted with powerful jets of water and made to dodge balls being chucked their way.
With days to go until the grand finale, who are you rooting for?
I’m A Celebrity returns tonight at 9.15pm on ITV.
