Taylor Swift superfan Stormzy has referenced one of the artist’s biggest hits in a track on his new album.

The British rapper, 29, has long been a vocal fan of the Wildest Dreams singer, having posted videos of him lipsyncing to her tracks and even chased her down for a selfie at a recent awards show.

Fans were in bits as Londoner posted consistent updates to his Instagram on his search to meet Taylor at the MTV EMAs, eventually securing a photo with the star which he simply captioned: ‘🥹❤️’

In all the excitement however, the acclaimed rapper may have taken things too far, as several hours later he posted another snap of him looking a bit worse for wear and revealed he had missed his flight.

Worth it.

Now Stormzy is making headlines again as fans go wild for his new album This Is What I Mean, released on Friday.

One of the tracks references Meghan Markle, with the musician pleading for people to ‘please leave Meghan alone.’

And another new song – Bad Blood – references Taylor’s track of the same name.

In the song, Stormzy raps: ‘It still cuts deep but it’s mad love, ’cause when you had it that good it’s never bad blood.’

The lyrics are instantly recognisable as being a nod to Taylor’s number one hit, which feature the words: ‘Baby now we got bad blood, you know it used to be mad love… you made a really deep cut, and baby now we got bad blood.’

Meanwhile, Stormzy’s new track Please appears to reference the criticism Suits star Meghan has received since marrying Prince Harry and joining the Royal Family.

The new song includes the lyrics: ‘Please could you lower your tone, please could you get off my phone, and please leave Meghan alone.

He also makes reference to a ‘throne’ and appears to address Meghan’s estrangement with her father, Thomas Markle, comparing it to his relationship with his own father.

Stormzy’s tribute to the Red star comes after the pair posed for an adorable selfie at the EMAs, both looking like the best of friends as they grinned for the camera.

In the snap – taken after Stormzy’s one-man-mission to find the US chart-topper after the awards show – Taylor hold a glass of wine and appears to be laughing as the Londoner absolutely beams.
