Mike Tindall was clearly delighted to reunite with his former I’m A Celebrity campmates, with his wife Zara also bonding with the stars in adorable new snaps.

The former rugby pro became the first member of the royal family to appear on I’m A Celebrity, with his wife Zara, who’s Princess Anne’s daughter, jetting to Australia to support him.

After his exit from camp, Mike headed back to the JW Marriott hotel with Zara, who greeted him on the iconic I’m A Celebrity bridge with a big hug.

Mike and Zara could be seen grinning from ear to ear as they were met by a crowd of former campmates and their families outside the hotel.

He headed straight for A Place In The Sun star, Scarlette Douglas, stretching out his arms for a big hug, while Zara also chatted away to celebs including Scarlette and Loose Women’s Charlene White.

Mike was over the moon to see his wife after three weeks in the jungle, and could be heard telling her: ‘I missed you so much!’

The star was voted out eighth in a shock moment, with Jill Scott, Owen Warner and Matt Hancock battling it out for the crown.

Chatting to Ant and Dec in his exit interview, Mike admitted he was ‘happy to go’ but he had a ‘lot of fun’ on his ‘amazing journey.’

‘I’ve been very lucky with everyone that’s been in there and how camp’s worked together. Being in a team for a long period of my life, I didn’t expect it to work as well as it did,’ he said.

He added that it was ‘really hard’ to pick out any specific highlights after having ‘a lot of laughs’ with his fellow campmates.

‘That’s the best thing, you can get through anything when the humour’s good,’ he said. ‘And in all fairness to everyone, everyone had distinct humour.’

He won many fans over during his appearance, and has been supported by his relative Princess Beatrice following his exit.

She tweeted: ‘He is just the greatest @miketindall13.’

We’re sure many will agree!

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
