The viewing figures for the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 final have been revealed by ITV, with millions more people tuning in to watch in comparison to last year’s final episode.
Last night, Lioness superstar Jill Scott was officially crowned the new Queen of the Jungle, with Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner coming in second place and former health secretary Matt Hancock finishing third.
Jill won the crown by a significant margin in comparison to her campmates, scoring 57.66% of the vote when it came down to just her and Owen, and 47.29% of the vote when it was down to the final three.
While Jill was chatting to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly during the final, it was revealed that a whopping 12million people cast votes – and now ITV have shared just how many people watched the retired footballer soar to victory.
According to ITV an average of 10.1m people tuned into the final, an increase of 3.6million viewers in comparison to the 2021 final, which saw Emmerdale actor Danny Miller be crowned King of the Castle in Wales.
The broadcaster stated that the final episode of the 2022 series on Sunday night had a peak audience of 11.5m viewers.

It was also the highest-rated final since 2018, the company said, with an average of 10.9m watching four years ago when football manager Harry Redknapp won the crown.
ITV said that based on seven-day consolidated data, the I’m A Celebrity 2022 series was averaging 11.1m viewers across various devices and platforms.

When Jill was declared the winner, she couldn’t believe the result as former rugby player Mike Tindall, who came in fourth place, put the crown on her head.
‘I just can’t believe it!’ she said, before joking: ‘Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12million votes she’s done.’
She added: ‘We were one big team, I don’t think there should be one winner, we couldn’t have got through it without all of us.’
Jill also admitted while speaking on Monday’s Good Morning Britain that she and Owen tried to convince the I’m A Celebrity crew to fess up the World Cup scores.

‘I have missed the World Cup games so much. Me and Owen were begging for the scores and they were like, “We can’t tell you, we can’t tell you,”’ she recollected.
‘The day we had an ice lolly and the scores were revealed on the stick was one of the best days in the jungle.’
I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on ITV Hub.
