Jill Scott has received a hero’s welcome fitting for a Queen of the Jungle after winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022, having reunited with his fellow campmates at the hotel.
Last night, it was announced that former Lioness and Euros 2022 winner Jill had won the competition as the new Queen of the Jungle after over 12million votes were submitted for the final, becoming the first openly LGBTQ+ woman to ever take home the title.
Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner was declared the runner-up, while former health secretary Matt Hancock finished in third place.
In voting figures released by ITV, it turned out Jill was the clear frontrunner to win, with Hancock bowing out of the competition with just over a fifth of the votes when there were only three competitors left.
Following her exit interview with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly alongside Owen – which took place before her victory was announced – Jill headed over to the hotel where the other I’m A Celeb contestants were staying.
After walking through the front doors, she bounded over to her pals, jumping in the air and clicking her heels together as they cheered in her honour in a clip shared on Mike Tindall’s Instagram Story.

Loose Women presenter and ITV newsreader Charlene White was the first of the eliminated campmates to go in for a hug with Jill, who was still wearing her I’m A Celebrity backpack.
Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver also joined in the embrace alongside Charlene, before Hancock went in for the next squeeze.
As Jill continued going around the group for hugs, the clapping continued as everyone celebrated her return to the real world.

Before filming Jill’s reunion at the hotel with all of her fellow I’m A Celebrity stars, Mike also shared a video of Owen reaching the venue after landing in the second place spot.
‘What a family,’ he wrote in the caption, as the actor’s brothers rushed to wrap their arms around him, jumping with joy to be reunited.

Owen gripped onto his siblings in emotional scenes, before finally letting go to say hi to the people he became so close to in the jungle.
During an interview on Good Morning Britain this morning, Jill admitted that she and Owen ‘begged’ the producers of the show to disclose the World Cup scores.
‘I have missed the World Cup games so much. Me and Owen were begging for the scores and they were like, “We can’t tell you, we can’t tell you,”‘ she recalled.
‘The day we had an ice lolly and the scores were revealed on the stick was one of the best days in the jungle.’
I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on ITV Hub.
