Leva Bonaparte has revealed that not all of her Southern Charm co-stars were delighted by her new spin-off series.

The Bourbon N’ Bubbles founder recently landed her very own series, Southern Hospitality, following the goings-on at her restaurant, Republic Garden & Lounge.

Ahead of the premiere tonight on Bravo, the 43-year-old admitted that some of her former castmates weren’t ‘super thrilled’ at the moves she had been making on screen.

‘I definitely think that there were, at times, people who maybe were not super thrilled,’ she said. ‘They’ve all congratulated me, most of them, I want to say, to date.

‘I think they understand that this is just very different than Southern Charm. It’s not taking over Southern Charm, it’s not doing anything like that.’

Despite teasing a frosty reception from some, she also teased that there would be a few cameos from the Southern Charm gang sprinkled in the new program.

‘You’ll see a lot of them make cameos in the show. But I definitely think there were some tricky feelings. Rightfully so,’ she continued to Us Weekly. ‘I mean some of these people are in the business now for several years and I can see that being tricky.

‘Humans are humans and things get complicated. But I think we’ve all moved on and I think they’re all supportive. What I feel anyway … unless I see them and some other stuff happens, I feel as though they’re all being supportive at this point.’

The official synopsis reads: ‘The series follows Southern Charm resident boss-lady Leva Bonaparte as she manages Charleston’s very own “it” crowd, otherwise known as her larger-than-life staff at Republic Garden & Lounge.

‘Leva and husband Lamar own four restaurants along the city’s famous King Street, but Republic is the crown jewel of their kingdom.’

Leva had famously appeared on Southern Charm for years before taking the plunge as a full-time cast member on season eight, ruffling feathers all over the place.

Although she has been a fixture on our screens, she promised that the new series will show a different side of herself, and of Charleston in general.

‘I’m very excited for the viewers to have a little bit of fun,’ the restauranteur added. ‘I’m really excited for people to laugh and cry and be confused and maybe want to come visit Charleston.’

Southern Hospitality premieres at 9pm ET on November 28, and the same day on hayu.
