WWE legend Mickie James is heartbroken and lost for words after her brother and his 16-year-old stepdaughter died in a car crash.

The 43-year-old star, who currently works for IMPACT Wrestling, has revealed the heartbreaking news her brother Wayne died aged 47 alongside his stepdaughter and her 15-year-old best friend.

On Sunday night, she tweeted: ‘I still haven’t found the right words. Home to see my family on Monday. Lost my oldest brother on Tuesday. It’s been a week. I’ve cried everyday since.

‘If you pray, please save one for his 3 beautiful daughters. They need it the most. I love you Wayne.’

On Monday, Mickie thanked fans for their messages of support, and asked that people ‘continue to pray’ for her brother’s widow Christy Knuckles, who remains in ‘serious condition’.

Mickie wrote: ‘Thank you everyone for the love & the messages. It’s warmed my heart. Please continue to pray Wayne’s wife Christy Knuckles. She is still in serious condition in the hospital.

‘She lost both her husband (My brother) and her 16yr old daughter in the accident. I can’t imagine.

‘Also for the parents of her daughters best friend who was only 15. They had just picked her up and we’re taking the girls to school. My heart is broken for them as I don’t know what I would do. Think. Or even feel. I am sending so much strength, healing, and love.’

The former champion also called on people to keep the driver who hit their car in their thoughts too, acknowledging the emotional pain he must be in after such a ‘tragic accident’.

She continued: ‘Lastly, please lift up the driver of the other vehicle who hit them. Thankfully he is ok. But mentally & emotionally I’m sure is devastated. I hope he knows and forgives himself.

‘It wasn’t your fault. There was nothing you could do. It was an accident. A tragic accident.’

Fans and fellow stars have flooded her posts with messages of support, including IMPACT producer and wrestling veteran Lance Storm.

‘So sorry for your loss Mickie. Much love,’ he wrote, while ex-WWE tag team the Bollywood Boyz replied: ‘So sorry to read this. Our sincerest condolences, Mickie. Prayers up’.

IMPACT referee Daniel Spencer tweeted: ‘I’m so sorry for your loss…prayers for you, his daughters and your entire family’.
