Ryan Reynolds sure has his fans tied around his little finger – especially when it comes to Deadpool.
In a new tweet, the actor even sparked speculation that Marvel’s resident ‘merc with a mouth’ could be involved in Loki season 2, and it’s safe to say the excitement levels have soared through the roof.
In the first season of Loki on Disney Plus, which saw Tom Hiddleston, 41, reprise his role as the MCU’s god of mischief, a pivotal character was Miss Minutes, the clock-shaped mascot of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), an organisation committed to protecting the Sacred Timeline.
In a new tweet shared by the Miss Minutes account on Twitter – which isn’t verified but has over 71,000 followers and is followed by the show’s creator Michael Waldron – it read: ‘Hey there @Deadpool 👋 Love, Miss Minutes.’
Ryan, 46, then replied cryptically: ‘Hello, Miss Minutes.’
Straight away, Marvel aficionados began to wonder if Deadpool could show up in the second season of Loki, with one writing: ‘Don’t play with me Ryan now I’m expecting Deadpool in Loki season 2 at some point.’

‘Loki and Deadpool connected confirmed,’ someone else wrote.
However, others speculated that it could mean something else – that the TVA may play a crucial part of Deadpool 3, which was recently confirmed would see the return of Hugh Jackman, 54, as Logan, aka Wolverine.
In Loki, the TVA refers to variants as individuals who do something they’re not supposed to do on the Sacred Timeline, which results in the timeline branching away from the events that are supposed to happen – as deemed by the authorities.

Back in 2017, Hugh made what was believed to be his final on-screen appearance as Wolverine, with the beloved X-Men character dying in front of his biological daughter Laura (His Dark Materials star Dafne Keen).
So if the TVA is involved in Deadpool 3, this could explain how the character is able to return once again, as a variant of the original character, rather than the OG Logan himself.

One thing’s for sure – Ryan is certainly expert when it comes to marketing Deadpool, and he already has us on the edge of our seats for any further details about third film about Wade Wilson.
Ryan and Hugh recently confirmed they’d be teaming up for the film in a teaser video, in which the former claimed they were desperately trying to nail down an idea for the movie.
‘Hey Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?’ he then said, as The Greatest Showman star was seen walking behind him in the background.
‘Yeah, sure Ryan,’ Hugh replied. And the rest is history.
Loki is available to watch on Disney Plus.
