The first star to sign up to the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special 2022 is podcaster Rosie Ramsey.
The podcaster, who is married to comedian Chris Ramsey, announced the exciting news on BBC’s Morning Live on Wednesday, where she also revealed her professional partner is Neil Jones.
The presenter, 35, will be among the six celebrities taking to the ballroom floor in a bid to be crowned Christmas Champion 2022 and vying to impress the judges.
Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the Christmas Special will include a merry musical performance and some spectacular group routines including the celebrities and their professional partners, guaranteed to spread Christmas cheer.
Former judge Bruno Toniolo, who left the BBC’s juggernaut show for Dancing With The Stars in the US, is rumoured to be making a surprise comeback.
But the 66-year-old will reportedly not be brushing off his dancing shoes but will instead sing after previously releasing an album of Italian music in 2016.

It wouldn’t be the first time Bruno has belted out a tune on Strictly, having belted out Can’t Take My Eyes Off You during the opening episode of the show in 2019.
Last year, popstar Anne-Marie was crowned the winner of Strictly’s Xmas special, along with professional dancer partner Graziano Di Prima.

The hitmaker competed against former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc, The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades, First Dates star Fred Sirieix, newsreader Moira Stuart and radio presenter Adrian Chiles to the trophy.
