After already having 20 minutes of footage leaked, someone has streamed the entirety of The Callisto Protocol ahead of its official launch.
What is it with this year’s big Christmas games being leaked? God Of War Ragnarök, Sonic Frontiers, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, and others all suffered from their street dates being broken, meaning some people received their pre-orders early and immediately began uploading entire playthroughs worth of footage online.
Need For Speed Unbound and The Callisto Protocol have recently joined the party, with people streaming both games on Twitch. Although that’s obviously more of a problem for the latter, given its focus on story.
Unfortunately for developer Striking Distance Studios, at least one streamer wasn’t ready to stop after one session, as the entire game can currently be viewed via their Twitch channel.
Surprisingly, at time of writing, all of the archived streams remain online, but that probably won’t last and the streamer is likely to get a ban for it.
Obviously we’re not going to spoil anything but one important detail that’s arisen is that the story campaign can be beaten in around 16 hours. Although it’s uncertain how much the streamer rushed to get to the end.

Retailers breaking the street date of major games has been a recurring problem all autumn and you can guarantee that publishers are not happy about it.
That’s bound to result in some kind of response, possibly by copying Activision’s approach to the physical release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
In case you need reminding, it doesn’t have the full game on the disc, effectively making it nothing more than a physical licence to prove you bought it.
This approach is advantageous to publishers since it prevents anyone from playing a game before they’re meant to.
However, this also makes games unplayable without an online connection, which is especially undesirable for single-player titles like The Callisto Protocol, that shouldn’t need an online connection to begin with.
The Callisto Protocol launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
