A new operator skin has wreaked havoc in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, as it’s almost completely black and near impossible to see.
The Call of Duty League Team Packs were released on November 29 across both sequels, featuring a suite of cosmetics dedicated to the esports teams taking part in the tournament.
There are 12 Team Packs in total and they all come with two operator skins, a weapon camo, and a weapon charm, as well as stickers, emblems, and calling cards.
However, one pack in particular – the one that’s dedicated to esports team LA Thieves – seems to be the one that players prefer the most… for all the wrong reasons.
One of the operator skins featured in the LA Thieves pack is almost completely black, in contrast to the rest of the skins which are quite colourful.
Many Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players quickly realised that by having their operator wear this skin, they can camouflage themselves in the shadows and easily sneak up on enemies.
This is not the first time players have employed this exploit, as there was a similar issue with operator Roze’s trademark all-black skin in the previous versions of the games.
In fact, the LA Thieves skin has been dubbed Roze 2.0, as more and more players discovered the similarity between the two.
Roze’s skin became such a big problem in the previous games that Raven Software had to edit how it looked and increase its contrast, so it’d be easier to spot someone wearing it in-game.

The LA Thieves pack, which costs £8.39, has also broken into the top 20 bracket of Steam’s top sellers chart, surpassing popular games such as Elden Ring, and even free-to-play titles like Apex Legends, Dota 2, and Marvel Snap.
It’s still unclear if it’ll face the same fate as Roze’s original skin, but if that happens, a lot of players are bound to complain, given its popularity.
The Call Of Duty League is set to kick off on Friday, December 2, with the LA Thieves facing Vegas Legion on the same day.
