It truly is the most wonderful time of the year as the Spotify Wrapped results have been unveiled, giving music lovers around the world some insight into how they have listened in 2022.

The annual celebration of music has clogged up our social media feeds over the last day, with fans showing off their extensive music tastes, and artists overwhelmed by their support.

Everyone except Dionne Warwick, that is…

The 81-year-old, who has blessed us with hits including Heartbreaker, Walk On By and I Say A Little Prayer, took the opportunity to check on those who found themselves among her biggest fans – as her music tends to be ‘sad’.

Taking to Twitter, the music legend wrote: ‘If I am on your @Spotify Wrapped let me know.

‘Most of my songs are sad and I am hoping you’re okay. We can talk about it.’

When one fan responded with their beloved track, she kept to her word and checked on them.

‘The amount of times I cried to “anyone who had a heart” this year is unhealthy,’ a follower penned, to which she added: ‘Go outside and touch nature. I love you. Everything will be okay.’

Never, ever change, Dionne.

Spotify Wrapped has become an important day in the diary for users of the platform, as their data and listening habits from the last year is revealed, including favorite artists, songs and genres – and just how many times they’ve had certain tracks on repeat.

Lewis Capaldi was delighted to learn that he had racked up an impressive one billion streams over the course of the year, with nearly 100million listeners in 183 countries.

Not too shabby.
