Strictly Come Dancing’s Kym Marsh seriously missed being on the dance floor after she was forced to skip the live show due to Covid.

The Coronation Street actress, 46, was forced to watch Saturday’s programme from home after a BBC spokesperson confirmed: ‘Kym Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, Kym and Graziano, 28, will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.’

They added that the guidance surrounding positive coronavirus cases means that if Kym is negative by the following week, she should be able to come back.

And both stars are back, and ready to take on a brand-new routine for Friday’s musicals special.

During Thursday’s It Takes Two, host Janette Manrara asked the Waterloo Road star how she felt watching her co-stars perform.

‘It was so weird,’ she said.

‘I had such FOMO (fear of missing out) I swapped sequins for tissues. I watched it with two tissues stuck up my nostrils.’

Pro partner Graziano added that Kym actually called him while she was ‘wrapped up in bed,’ and urged her to rest.

Earlier in the week, Kym and Graziano shared their enthusiasm over their show return on Instagram.

‘Finally, I’ve been waiting one week to say that…. We are back!’ Graziano enthused as he pointed the camera in Kym’s direction.

He added: ‘Guys thank you so much for all the messages, all the support. We’re going to do our best, and we’re going to start now.’

The remaining six celebrities will compete in a musicals special when the BBC One programme returns tomorrow at 8pm, one day earlier than usual due to the World Cup 2022.

During Sunday’s results show, presenter Tess Daly confirmed the revised time and date at the end of Sunday’s programme.

‘Yes, you heard right! Friday,’ she told audiences.

It Takes Two returns tomorrow at 6:30pm.
