Matt Hancock’s girlfriend Gina Coladangelo broke down in tears when he was booted from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here because she was ‘so proud’ of him.
The former Health Secretary, 44, surprised the whole country, and even himself, by getting so far in the series when he came third in the season finale earlier this week.
Just before mum-of-three Gina, 45, went to meet Hancock after weeks spent apart, she started crying on the drive to the jungle.
‘I’m so proud of him. I’m so proud of him,’ she told the camera crew.
As she headed to camp, Gina got emotional as she reflected on how well her partner had done on the series.
The couple then went on to have a long-awaited reunion on the famous bridge.
As Matt laid eyes on Gina, he told her she looked ‘amazing’, before they embraced.
‘I love you so much,’ Hancock added.
The politician apologised that he was away for so long and Gina replied that it had been awful, to which he said that it was ‘going to be great from here on in’.

‘You don’t know what lies ahead,’ she responded.
However their reunion couldn’t also help but remind viewers of the moment the pair were caught kissing in CCTV footage in June 2021 when they were both married.
Not only did the footage spark controversy due to the fact that they were both married to other people at the time, but it also took place at a time when social distancing guidelines were still in place amid the pandemic.

Millionaire lobbyist Gina worked for Hancock at the time as an aide, having been hired as an unpaid advisor the previous year.

While on I’m A Celebrity, Hancock addressed the cheating scandal, telling comedian Babatunde Aléshé: ‘I messed up and I fessed up. I resigned and it’s no excuse, but I fell in love, right? That also had a lot of other consequences obviously.’
However Babatunde had the ultimate reply when he told Matt that he hadn’t just fallen in love, he had been ‘grabbing booty’ in the now infamous shots.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is streaming on ITV.
