Dame Helen Mirren was all smiles alongside Harrison Ford as they posed at the 1923 TV series premiere.

The 77-year-old actress and 80-year-old Ford play central characters in the programme, portraying Jacob and Cara Dutton.

Jacob and Cara face various hardships in 1923, including Western Expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression, resulting in them struggling to maintain their ranching empire.

Dame Helen and Ford star alongside Sebastian Roché as Father Renaud, James Badge Dale as John Dutton Sr., Marley Shelton as Emma Dutton, and Michelle Randolph as Elizabeth Strafford, to name but a few.

The series has already created a great deal of hype, as 1923 follows last year’s 1883, the Yellowstone prequel that starred real-life couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as James and Margaret Dutton.

Fans have been eager for another instalment in the Dutton family’s story, after 1883 followed James and Margaret as they traveled to Montana.

She swept her grey locks back into an up do and added a final touch of class with statement gold earrings and a pink lip.

The star carried her belongings in a designer bag while her hands were covered in stylish lace gloves.

Meanwhile, Ford – who will soon star as Indiana Jones for the final time – opted for a casual pair of jeans, which he smartened up with a structured black jacket.

Plenty of other cast members and stars also walked the carpet, including Britt Ekland, Novi Brown, Fran Drescher and Julia Schlaepfer.

Dame Helen added: ‘You need someone who is capable of making decisions, and hopefully making the right decisions, but at least making a decision and going with it — in other words, a leader.

‘That’s what has propelled them into this position of running the ranch, running the family, being the linchpin around whom, at this moment in time, the family revolves.’

1923 debuts December 18 on Paramount+.
