It’s up to group admin Mike Tindall to add Matt Hancock to the I’m A Celebrity WhatsApp group.
Campmate Scarlette Douglas has revealed there is indeed a chat going on between the stars, however the MP is yet to be added to the fold.
The A Place In The Sun presenter said that it was all down to admin Tindall to invite Hancock to future meet-ups, and suggested the former health secretary might be ‘too busy’.
Douglas dished all on the chummy chat group between this year’s cohort of the ITV show, and speaking about which campmates she would invite round for dinner following the show’s conclusion, she said: ‘Pretty much everybody.’
Speaking at the UK premiere of Will Smith’s upcoming film Emancipation on Friday, she told PA: ‘We’ve all said when we can, because we’re all over the country, we’ll get together and have a meal for Owen because he loves food.’
She added that the group planned to go and see comedians Seann Walsh and Babatunde Aleshe perform in the coming weeks, when they returned to gigging.

Douglas went on: ‘Ultimately we’re all going to try and stay in touch, which is important.
‘We’ve all got our little WhatsApp group and we’re all messaging all the time so hopefully that doesn’t die down.’
Asked if Hancock would be joining the activities, she replied: ‘I don’t know.
‘I’m not the admin of that WhatsApp group so if Mike wants to invite him he absolutely can, but it’s not me to put the invitation out so we’ll see what happens.

‘He might be busy you never know, he’s doing a lot of stuff, he’s got a lot of press coming up so he might be too busy.’
It comes less than a week after England football star Jill Scott was crowned queen of the jungle on the ITV reality show.
Hollyoaks star Owen Warner and Hancock placed second and third, respectively.
The former health secretary sent shockwaves through the nation and sparked a lot of backlash for his stint on the show, despite making it to the final, which Tindall, making history as the camp’s first ever royal, narrowly missed out on.
During their time in the camp together, viewers noticed a bit of tension between the two and on his final day in the jungle, Tindall told the camera that he thought Hancock was sneakily trying to garner more votes.
Mike ended up turning Hancock’s jumper over so his voting details weren’t visible and in the Celebrity Cyclone sparked viewer backlash for jumping onto the politician.
However, Hancock’s seen it as a ‘badge of honour’.
He said: ‘When he [Mike] landed on me on the Cyclone I took that as a badge of honour. He is a former England captain. He has won the world cup. That wasn’t him being tough on me. That was just larking about’.
He added to Mail Online that he didn’t ‘feel bullied in the jungle’.
