Eve isn’t looking back after quitting The Talk to start a family, after welcoming her first baby earlier this year.

The Let Me Blow Ya Mind rapper became a mum for the first time in February, welcoming her son Wilde Wolf Fife Alexander Somers Cooper with husband Maximillion Cooper, 50.

She was already stepmother to Maximillion’s three children from a previous marriage, so she’s had plenty of practice when it comes to being a mother figure.

It came almost two years after Eve, 43, announced she was leaving US chat show The Talk to focus on her family with Max and, clearly, it was the right move for the musician as she fell pregnant last year.

When asked if she missed working on the show, Eve told Metro.co.uk at the MOBO Awards this week: ‘No. Listen, I’m very thankful for the opportunity. It helped me through a time in my life.

‘I was there for three years, it actually helped me through a time in my life that I needed. But every season for a reason and I totally believe that.’

It’s no surprise that, after going through the life-changing event of becoming a mum, Eve feels like a whole new person these days.

She explained: ‘It’s the most amazing thing but the energy levels ain’t the same. I definitely have to plan out what I’m going to do, like I’m going to stay home and sleep so I can do that tomorrow, but it’s literally the best thing in the world.

‘Life is different and some people told me that. One of my friends said to me you’re not only going to birth a baby, you’re going to birth a new you and I kind of got it. But I am [a new me], it’s totally different, everything I think about is for him. Everything.’

The Who’s That Girl rapper added: ‘All I want is for him to have the most incredible life, I want to do everything I can for him to keep the light in his eyes and the smile on his face, period.’
