A Game Awards announcement for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is all but assured after its Steam listening unexpectedly went live.

Considering it was already widely assumed to be launching in March 2023, it’s a safe assumption that EA has a new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ready for The Game Awards this week.

Even if there wasn’t an exact month rumoured, EA already confirmed that the game is scheduled for a 2023 release, in the reveal trailer from May – although it’s never mentioned it again in public since.

A new trailer feels like even more of a guarantee now thanks to an unambiguous leak that has not only given away an exact release date, but also details of a Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses.

It turns out, though, that the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is slated for March 16, 2023, which perfectly matches up with EA’s own release schedule and previous rumours from insider Jeff Grubb.

As for the Deluxe Edition, it comes with two DLC packs that provide cosmetic items inspired by A New Hope.

Namely, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo costumes for protagonist Cal, Luke’s lightsaber, Han’s blaster, and two skins for droid companion BD-1.

We’re not sure if the Rugged BD-1 cosmetic is meant to based on anything specific (Yoda maybe?), but the BD-Astro one is clearly meant to resemble R2-D2.

There’s also an Obi-Wan Kenobi DLC set – specifically one based on the Disney+ show – consisting of a costume, another lightsaber, and a blaster. Although you get this just by pre-ordering the game and it isn’t locked to the Deluxe Edition.

All this comes from the game’s official Steam page, which obviously went live far too early. No doubt it was being saved for after a formal announcement on Thursday night/Friday morning.

As we were writing this up, the listing was updated so now it only features the reveal trailer. Everything else, including the release date and pre-order details, has been removed.

While there’s technically no guarantee, it’s very likely that EA will properly acknowledge these details at The Game Awards, given their proximity and set pre-orders live.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on March 16.

These details have already been scrubbed from the Steam page (pic: EA via Steam)
