It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of 2022’s series of Strictly.
This year’s BBC ballroom dancing competition launched just a short while ago in September, adding a sprinkle of glitter, catchy tunes and some energetic moves to our Saturday nights.
Alas, we sadly can’t watch the Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman-hosted hit all year round.
So, when is the final episode set to air? And who could be competing for the 2022 Glitterball Trophy?
Let’s find out…

The Strictly Come Dancing 2022 final is expected to take place on Saturday, December 17.
However, it is possible the date might shuffle around, as the BBC airs games from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
So, it’s worth keeping an eye on the BBC website’s TV schedule, just in case.
Before then, we have the semi-final on Sunday, December 11 at 7.15pm, with the results due on Monday, December 12 – both shows airing a day later than usual due to the World Cup.

The quarter final has already taken place, airing on Friday, December 2 – a day earlier than usual.
Who could be in the Strictly final?
Five couples remain in the competition, as we head into the semi-final.
Currently top of the leaderboard are Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez, along with Will Mellor and Nancy Xu.
Both couples scored 39 in the quarter final, with Fleur East and Vito Coppola not far behind with a score of 38.

Also competing are Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, who also scored 38, and fan favourite (and bookies’ favourite) Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal, who scored 36.
Indeed, Hamza is predicted to win the series, with Paddy Power putting the odds of him winning at 8/13. Second favourite is Helen at 6/4. Will has an outside chance at 16/1, while Molly’s and Fleur’s odds are at 50/1.
Sadly, Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima didn’t make it to the semi-final. They had the lowest score of 34, and were ultimately sent home from the quarter finals after a dance-off with Molly and Carlos.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 7:15pm on Sunday.
