I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Boy George has silenced Matt Hancock ‘bullying’ claims, but stressed that his fellow campmates weren’t honest about their feelings.
The Karma Chameleon hitmaker, 61, was the fourth star eliminated from this year’s series – which saw Lioness’ Jill Scott taking the crown.
During the former health secretary’s controversial stint in the jungle, several campmates including Loose Women’s Charlene White grilled Hancock over his cameo.
80s legend Boy George also referred to the sitting MP as ‘slimy and slippery before he confronted him and also added that Hancock’s presence made everyone ‘compliant.’
In Tuesday’s Lorraine, the musician only had a problem with the politician’s Covid breach apology.
‘I was quite surprised when I came out and read that I bullied Matt, because I knew for a fact that he would never come out and say that I bullied him, he said.

‘That was the opposite of what I did, bullying would have been being dishonest, going behind his back and saying it to everybody else,’ he added.
‘And there was some of that, a lot of that. A lot of that in the background, people saying things behind Matt’s back and being friendly to his face.
‘I said what I had to say and wanted to enjoy my time in the jungle.’
Fellow campmate and former rugby star Mike Tindall recently defended Hancock amid the controversy and said he was leaving the jungle with 11 friends.

When asked if he would put the sitting MP in that category, he said: ‘No, not really. It’s still a bit weird because when he walked in, he was walking in with a lot of preconceptions. I think Baba[tunde Aleshe] straight up was like, “Well we know who’s doing the trials for the next few days.
‘And every day we were like, “Well done, well done, full stars, you ready to go again tomorrow?” And we were right for the first six days, I think it was.
‘But what Matt did prove as a campmate is he could win stars, he wasn’t fazed by the trials that he was put up against and when you’re in that environment, you need someone who brings back the food and he did that.’
